Data is a $400B industry in Europe alone. With Web3 tools we can spread the opportunities around data and fully unleash data’s potential.
The Ocean Protocol Data Economy Challenge: Datatokens edition is an 8-week online hackathon that offers developers an opportunity to unlock data and create innovative data applications from data exchanges to data DAOs, powered by Ocean tools.
This hackathon offers over $USD 55,000 in token prizes for unleashing data and building data applications that leverage Ocean datatokens, plus special sponsored bonus prizes by ecosystem partners including 1inch Exchange, Balancer, DAOstack, Energy Web Foundation (EWF), Pillar, Protocol Labs (Filecoin), Secret Network and Streamr.
What are we looking for?
We are especially looking for submissions that help unleash data as assets in Web3.
This means integrating data services to Ocean, or building/updating open-source apps that leverage Ocean (by using Ocean’s datatokens technology at a minimum).
Tracks and Bonus Prizes
The Ocean Protocol Data Economy Challenge Datatokens edition has only one single track with 7 top level prizes including first, second and third place as well as a Community Choice Award and up to three honorable mention awards.
In addition to top level prizes, there are 16 bonus prizes including:
- 8 bonus prizes with Ocean Tokens for Special Projects including prizes for best applications and integrations;
-
8 bonus prizes sponsored by ecosystem partners and collaborators at 1inch Exchange, Balancer Labs, DAOStack, Energy Web Foundation, Pillar, Protocol Labs (Filecoin), Secret Network and Streamr.
All winners will be considered for Ocean funding programs afterwards, such as Shipyard and OceanDAO.
